Dalhart Rotary Bike Safety Rodeo

The Dalhart Rotary Club held a Bike Safety Rodeo in May 2010. The main objective was to help educate children about bike safety and to create situations they would experience on the road to help them be aware of how to be safe when riding their bikes. In addition to saftey information the club also handed out free helmets, did bike inspections and in partnership with the Dalhart Police Department did bike registration so lost and stolen bikes and find their way back to their owner. Two participants won Gift Cards to Alco valued at $100 each. The Dalhart Rotary Club plans to make this an annual event.
